What kind of Huawei inverters are available on the market?

Huawei has string inverters for residential, commercial, and utility applications in its product lineup

Which inverters are intended for residential (private) use?

Huawei's residential inverters address household system needs with modern design, easy installation, battery and optimization solution, and a powerful mobile app.

The corresponding products are: SUN2000L 2(-6)KTL or SUN2000-2(-6)KTL-L1 (single-phase), and SUN2000-3(-10)KTL-M0 or SUN2000-3(-10)KTL-M1.

Which inverters are intended for commercial use?

The commercial inverters cover the small and medium sized rooftop and ground mounted projects including SUN2000-12(-20)KTL-M0, SUN2000-12(-20)KTL-M2, SUN2000-33KTL-A, SUN2000-36KTL and SUN2000-60KTL-M0. These inverters are equipped with multiple MPPTs, PLC / MBUS communication (33KTL-A, 36KTL and 60KTL-M0 in conjunction with Smartlogger3000A03).

Which inverters are intended for the utility sector?

Utility-scaleinverters cover Huawei's most powerful solutions for the largest projects: SUN2000-105KTL-H1 and SUN2000-185KTL-H1 with 1500 VDC / 800 VAC for the highest efficiency, SmartLogger3000 for the highest quality system setup, and premium IV curve analysis.

What are the monitoring devices from Huawei?

Huawei inverters communicate with the Huawei FusionSolar monitoring system via WLAN FE or 4G dongle. For systems with more than 10 devices, SmartLogger3000 is used for communication between the inverters, external or third-party devices, and the monitoring system.

What is PLC / MBUS?

PLC and MBUS is the exclusive technology that Huawei uses for communication between the inverters and the monitoring device (SmartLogger3000A03) via the AC cables. This means that in systems with PLC / MBUS, the RS485 - cable communication line does not need to be prepared, which simplifies installation.

What is the difference between PLC / MBUS and RS485 communication?

PLC / MBUS uses the AC cables for communication with the monitoring device (SmartLoggerA03). An isolation transformer is required to disconnect the communication from the mains.

For communication via RS485, the inverters (slave) are connected in a row to the last inverter (master) connected to the SmartLogger (2-wire connection).
