Limited product warranty from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (‘Huawei’)
This Limited Product Warranty applies to the ‘Covered Products’ listed in the table below. It is only valid for the ‘Warranty Period’ specified in the table below and is subject to the following conditions:

‘BASIC’ warranty period: Sixty (60) months from dispatch or after reaching the minimum throughput, whichever comes first
‘ADVANCE’ warranty period: The system is connected to the Huawei PV Cloud. The warranty period is one hundred and eighty (180) months from the date of shipment or after reaching the minimum throughput performance, whichever comes first.

Notice:
For the SUN2000 series inverters sold previously, the warranty remains valid according to the signed contract.
If, during the warranty period, a covered product is found to have a defect in workmanship or materials or a nonconformity that occurs under normal use, Huawei will replace the covered product with a functionally equivalent product in accordance with the following terms and conditions. These terms also apply to any replacement Product provided by Huawei under this Limited Product Warranty. A replacement Product is the Customer's sole remedy for non-conformities or defects in the Covered Products.
If the replacement product is an inverter or a LUNA2000, the remaining warranty period or 360 days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer. If the replacement product is an Optimiser, SmartLogger, SmartACU, SmartPID, SmartDongle, Security Box, Smart Backup Box or SmartGuard, the remaining warranty period or 90 days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.
After a replacement, the replacement product becomes the property of the customer, while the defective covered product becomes the property of Huawei.

Standard warranty extension procedure
The warranty period for inverters can be extended up to a certain period at an additional cost to the customer (‘warranty extension’). A warranty extension can only be purchased during the valid warranty period.

Conditions of the extended warranty
Any extended warranty is subject to the same terms and conditions as the standard warranty period.
Assertion of warranty claims
To make a claim under this Limited Product Warranty, the Customer must notify Huawei of any non-conformity or defect in workmanship or materials of the Covered Products immediately upon discovery of such non-conformity or defect. To do so, contact the Huawei Customer Services Help Desk (contact details below) and provide the following information:

Product replacement
After receiving a warranty claim, Huawei will check whether the claim is covered by the limited product warranty. If the claim is not covered, Huawei will notify the Customer, stating the reasons for the rejection. If the claim is covered, Huawei will provide the customer with a replacement product.
If Huawei decides to provide a replacement product, the replacement product will normally be delivered within two to five (2-5) working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) after the warranty claim has been recorded, investigated and confirmed to the location within the European Union specified by the Customer. Within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the replacement Product, the Customer must return the defective Product to Huawei in the original packaging or in the packaging of the replacement Product (or otherwise in safe and secure packaging to avoid damage in transit).
Huawei reserves the right to charge the Customer for the cost of the defective Product. By asserting a warranty claim, the customer agrees to bear these costs if:
Payment of the fee for the use of the installer and the transport costs for the inverter in the event of faults
Upon replacement and receipt of a defective Covered Product (applicable only to Inverter and SmartLogger, SmartACU, SafetyBox, SmartGuard, Optimiser, Power Sensor, SmartDongleWLAN/WLAN-FE/4G, LUNA2000, Smart Backup Box) by Huawei or by a service company on behalf of Huawei, Huawei will pay the installer a fee of €110 (including VAT) per Covered Product within the Warranty Period (‘Installer Deployment Fee’) and reasonable transport costs, provided that such transport costs have been agreed prior to the return of the defective Covered Product by the Customer. Huawei or a service company appointed by Huawei will pay €25 (including VAT) for the replacement of the second or subsequent defective Optimiser. Huawei, or a service company on behalf of Huawei, will make payment of the installer intervention fee and the agreed transport costs within sixty (60) days of receipt of the defective Product by Huawei.
Limited cover
This Limited Product Warranty applies only to the hardware of the Covered Products and not to components that are separate from the Covered Products, such as ancillary equipment, consumables, and mechanical parts for mounting or protective coatings that degrade over time (unless the defect is due to a defect in materials or workmanship).
This limited product warranty only applies to customers who have purchased the covered products directly from Huawei or from an authorised seller of Huawei inverters in the countries of the European Union (excluding islands). Huawei only covers transport in the countries of the European Union (islands are not included).
This Limited Product Warranty applies only if installation, removal and reinstallation have been performed in accordance with the installation instructions and user guidelines accompanying the Covered Products (‘Documentation’).
This Limited Product Warranty is void if the serial number of the Covered Product has been removed or defaced.
Exceptions
This Limited Product Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from the following:
(i) Improper installation or use of the Device with respect to the user manual provided by Huawei;
(ii) Customer's failure to install and operate the Covered Product in accordance with Huawei's product specifications;
(iii) Use of the Covered Product other than normal and customary use;
(iv) Unauthorised disassembly, repair, alteration or modification;
(v) Misuse, abuse, intentional damage, negligence or accidental damage;
(vi) Improper testing, operation, maintenance or installation, including without limitation: (a) failure to comply with written system requirements for a safe operating environment or external electrical parameters; (b) failure to operate the Covered Products in accordance with the
the Covered Products in accordance with the operation manual and/or operating instructions of the Covered Products; c) relocation and installation of the System other than in accordance with Huawei's requirements.
vii) damage caused by the use of incorrect voltage;
viii) damage directly caused by problems in the System infrastructure;
ix) improper storage, shipping, handling or use of the Covered Products;
x) force majeure events (including but not limited to Force majeure events (including, but not limited to, acts of foreign enemies, acts of domestic or foreign governments or authorities, sabotage, riots, fire, floods, typhoons, explosions or other disasters, epidemics or quarantine restrictions, labour unrest or labour shortages, accidents, freight embargoes or other events beyond Huawei's control) for the period caused by such event.
The Limited Product Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or superficial defects, dents, stains or scratches that do not affect the proper functioning of the Covered Product.
Limitation of liability
This Limited Product Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, conditions or guarantees as to the description, quality, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory or merchantable quality of the Covered Products, or any other express or implied warranty, condition or guarantee.
Huawei shall not be liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any lack of conformity or defect in the Covered Products or for any injury, damage or loss resulting from such lack or defect, or for any loss of contract, loss of revenue, loss of use or profit, or loss of business, business interruption or additional operating expenses, or indirect, consequential or economic damages or losses of any kind or nature whatsoever and howsoever caused. The remedies set forth in this Limited Product Warranty are the Customer's sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any nonconformity or defect in the Covered Products.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Limited Product Warranty does not limit Huawei's liability for:
General information
i) Any modification, extension or addition to this Limited Product Warranty may only be made by an authorised representative of Huawei.
ii) If any provision of this Limited Product Warranty is found by a court or arbitration to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Limited Product Warranty shall not be affected and shall remain in full force and effect.
