In order to support the Austrian economy in the wake of the Corona crisis, the federal government has designed a new funding program with the aws investment bonus, which creates an incentive for corporate investments and thus makes a significant contribution to securing business premises, the creation of jobs and training positions and the Strengthening the international competitiveness of Austria as a business location.

Companies that develop renewable energy sources and thus focus on efficiency or the circular economy benefit from a premium double of 14 percent. Both existing and newly founded companies of all industries and of all sizes are eligible for funding.
Photovoltaic and storage systems
Grid-connected photovoltaic systems on buildings and open spaces with or without electricity storage (company buildings) are funded. Furthermore, retrofitting of electricity storage systems in existing agricultural PV systems is promoted. There are no specifications or restrictions with regard to the size of the systems.
Information about the premium
- New investments are funded with 14% of the eligible investment costs
- Минимална инвестиција that can be funded per application is EUR 5,000 excluding ПДВ.
- Maximum investment volume that can be funded is EUR 50 милиона excluding NAT per company
The bonus can be combined with OeMAG's tariff and investment subsidies.
Funding period
The award can be requested from септембар 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021. The premium can be applied for retrospectively for investments made after август 1, 2020. The investments must not have started before Август 1st, 2020.
